Girls' First Ski Trip

Jeff has been wanting to take the girls skiing for awhile now...I've held him off til this year. So, we decided to start them off for a weekend in Gatlinburg in case they hated it. We got them out of school early on Thursday (they had no idea we were going anywhere so they were shocked when they were paged to leave school). We loaded up and headed out of town. They were really excited although Madison hated to admit it (the first thing she said when she got in the car was "I hate surprises, Mom.") She took awhile to warm up to the idea, but ended up having a great weekend.

We went to Applewood restaurant for dinner in Pigeon Forge. The trip started off with a bang when Macey cut her forehead with her straw! It even left a chunk of skin in the straw. It was hilarious once we found out what had happened..she didn't think so though.

Madison woke up Friday morning and threw up...there where quite a few hiccups on this trip, but we made the best of them...so Jeff and Macey went skiing Friday. Madison felt better after resting a few hours so she and I spent the day shopping Gatlinburg and playing putt putt. It was nice for us each to have some one-on-one time with them

Owen stayed with Mimmy and Pops...she sent me this pic of him watching his favorite show (Peter Rabbit) with his favorite toys (his broom and his mop)

A little lunch with my date for the day at Pancake Pantry...she felt like sipping a little Sprite and half a pancake

Putt Putt

Madison felt better Saturday so we all 4 hit the slopes...started off with breakfast at Pancake Pantry again...good stuff

The girls did so great for their first time skiing after only an hour lesson each.

Macey tapped out about 3 minutes after getting in the car...she worked hard on the slopes

The last hiccup was heading home...accidentally took the 1 1/2 hour scenic route out of Gatlinburg extending our trip home a little longer...which resulted in Macey getting car sick 45 minutes from being home and losing her dinner all over the car. Fun times and fun memories!!

Winter

Just some random pictures of our winter.

Madison and Owen snuggling before bed watching a little t.v.

Madison pulled her 4th tooth!

We have had some random warm days so Brother has gotten to play outside some while the Sissies are at school.

He loves digging in the rocks

He tried eating a little dirt but wasn't a fan :)

Owen and Lilly enjoying a little snack

Owen doing what he enjoys best...mopping :)

My little hard worker (for now at least ;)

"Hey, who is that handsome boy?"

I think my hair could use a quick brush

The highlight of February was cousin Thomas being baptized...so proud!!

Macey, Jeff, and Owen doing a little evening reading

We FINALLY broke ground on the new house...exciting but I think we are crazy!!

100th Day of School

The girls had their 100th day of kindergarten a few weeks ago. Macey had been sick the day before at school so she missed it. Madison was the cutest 100 year old I've ever seen though!! She was a  little embarrassed to get out of the car dressed like that without Sissy by her side dressed up too ;)
